I (Frank) recently returned from a six-week missionary trip to China.
David and I arrived in China at the end of October. CMP donated books to an outreach and a school in Beijing.
I had the opportunity to witness a wedding of a couple who attend David’s Bible studies.
I taught at the Disciple Training School (DTS) in Zhengzhou (ZZ) the Capital City of Henen Province. I taught on Hearing the Father’s Voice. I had the privilege of water baptizing a student and praying for 4 students to receive the Holy Spirit. During our Morning Prayer, God stirred the group through repentance. Below is an entry from my Journal.
10/7/2008 (My Journal Entry) Before I came to China I felt you telling me Father that people were going to be filled the Holy Spirit while I was here. There are so many young Christians that have never been filled with the Holy Spirit. After yesterday’s class, I told the leader of the school I felt God wanted me to teach on the subject and pray for the students. This morning we followed your leading and 1 student accepted Christ, was water Baptized and with 3 others, received the Holy Spirit. I am in awe of your direction and where you are taking us this week my Father. …
I also taught at a new educational company in ZZ whose principals are Christian. I taught on ethics. The teaching led to some employee changes and the leadership coming into agreement on the values espoused by their company.
During my time at the DTS, I spoke on inner healing and followed up in the afternoons with prayer with each student. God moved thru these times of prayer and delivered students from serious issues that were keeping them in bondage and fear. You could see the students change, becoming more loving, confident, and free. I will send pictures and a card from the students so you can share in the victory experienced of these young people. It was exciting.
One Sunday morning I taught on the Holy Spirit to 30 students. During this meeting 10 students were water baptized and prayed for to receive the Holy Spirit. The Pastor told me a few days that tremendous growth and maturity was imparted to these young people. I am still in awe.
I had the privilege to speak to 20 home church and three self church pastors at an underground pastors’ training school. I shared how God wants His leaders to be filled with the Holy Spirit, filled with love and lead by example.
God is moving in China.
